This week, I’ve had to exercise patience—
With others.
With myself.
And just as important, I’ve had to extend grace to both.
Many times, I’ve paused and asked myself:
What does a patient and graceful me look like?
How does she respond in stressful situations?
How does she speak to herself?
How does she treat herself when she’s tired, anxious, or stretched thin?
They say that when you pray for more of something, you’re often tested in that area.
Am I surprised I’ve faced multiple moments that tested my patience?
Not at all.
I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe life gives you exactly what you need—especially when you ask for it.
“Know this, my dear brothers and sisters: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to grow angry.”
— James 1:19
Prayer: God, slow me down enough to recognize You in the waiting.
